Kathy Ireland P21, legendary supermodel, actress ("I'm not an actor and I have the movies to prove it!"), author, philanthropist and entrepreneur sat down with Princeton Entrepreneurship Council executive director Anne-Marie Maman '84 for a wide-ranging fireside chat of her career(s) and the building of her multi-billion dollar company. Her first licensing deal in 1993 was for socks sold at Kmart. She sold over 100 million pairs that year, on her way to creating kathy ireland Worldwide, which now includes 17,000 products in fashion, fine jewelry, intimate apparel, skincare, accessories, weddings, home, office and more.
"As a model building a business, I was investing in people," said Ireland, discussing the importance of a diverse entrepreneurial team.
