Chaac Ventures is a seed and early stage venture capital fund focused on investing in Princeton's rapidly growing entrepreneurial ecosystem (undergraduates, alums, professors, etc.). Chaac was founded in early 2015 by Luke Armour (P’13), and is often the ‘first-check' investor. To lean more, visit us at www.chaacventures.com, or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Fitz Gate Ventures, founded by Mark Poag '93 and Jim Cohen '86, invests a majority of its capital in early stage companies where a Princetonian is a founder or member of the senior management team. Through its 200 "Friends of Fitz” advisors (faculty, administrators, trustees, alumni and students) as well as the broader worldwide Princeton alumni network, Fitz Gate leverages the Princeton community to help it discover the best startups and then help its founders obtain customers, capital, etc. Fitz Gate’s portfolio companies have been profiled in the New York Times, CNN, The Wall Street Journal, The Financial Times and have received follow-on funding at premiums from Sequoia, Canaan, Tribeca, Andreessen Horowitz, Citi Ventures, Focus Financial Partners (KKR) and other leading VC firms after Fitz Gate invested. Because of the success of its first fund, Fitz Gate is ahead of plan and already raising its second fund. (www.fitzgate.com).
