Princeton Alumni Angels Virtual Pitch Event

From Princeton Alumni Angels:

Princeton Alumni Angels (PAA) is delighted for you to join for our fourth virtual pitch event of 2020 on Tuesday September 22nd! Our previous virtual pitch events ALL sold out, so purchase your tickets NOW!

Since the spring of 2018, individual Princeton Alumni Angel investors have invested over $5 million in 16 startups sourced and screened by the PAA network!

Our fourth virtual pitch event will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd at 6:30pm EDT and will feature four (4) exciting startups:

  • A data technology startup that works with hedge funds, investment banks, sovereign wealth funds consulting firms and Fortune 500 companies to help make all of their global, alternative, subscription and internal data accessible and useful. By providing data management, knowledge graph, NLP search and front-end data portal solutions, they are able to bring those costs down 75% and bring the time allocated to making data useful to zero
  • A FinTech startup that automates processing and underwriting of mortgages through a web-based platform that centralizes and simplifies documentation collection and review to reduce back and forth with underwriting by getting documents and data direct from the source through APIs and OCR. Lenders (paying users) benefit from improved efficiency and reduced costs internally, as well as improved customer satisfaction
  • A CleanTech startup that is developing an all-electric marine propulsion product that outperforms combustion engines. The company's patent pending IP is centered around system architecture design and cooling which enables unique design decisions that increase performance, dependability and reduces maintenance
  • A consumer products startup that brings art to sports equipment we love to unlock creativity and self-expression, while bringing people together through play. The founder has built successful brands by combining sports with content, pop culture and media. This unique combination unlocks a feeling of empowerment and engagement for consumers that drives business and brand loyalty

The three selected startups will have eight (8) minutes to pitch, followed by seven (7) minutes of questions and answers submitted by audience members.

Following the our virtual pitch event, each of the startups will be available in their own Zoom virtual Q&A rooms for at least an hour (from 7:40-9:00pm EDT) to answer any additional questions and continue the conversation.

On the following day (Wednesday, September 23rd at 7:00pm EDT) there will be an investor only wrap-up session, where investors can share their insights and the things they liked about each company, as well as any outstanding questions and areas for further due diligence.

PAA will provide access to the pitch decks of the presenting companies, as well as a recording of the pitches and Q&A, with all registered angels after the pitch event.

There is a $40 (plus Eventbrite fees) cost to attend the event, and a SPECIAL $30 Early Bird registration price through Sunday, September 20th). As with past pitch events, we believe interested investors gain access to high quality startups that have been sourced and screened through our in-depth alumni screening process.

We are very excited to make these virtual pitch events available to any alumni (and their spouses or family members) and faculty/staff that can self-certify that they are Accredited Investors (AI) and meet any of the criteria set out by the U.S Securities and Exchange Com mission (SEC) to be considered an AI. Please review this link to the SEC website if you are unsure if you meet the criteria.

We encourage ALL Princetonians with an interest in entrepreneurship and innovation to join for the virtual pitch event, where ever you reside. You do NOT have to reside in Greater New York and Northern California, where we have active chapters!

RSVP NOW to secure the special Early Bird pricing ($10 off through Sunday, September 20th). Note that each attendee must register on an individual basis (no group registrations).
