Brett Paschke is the Head of Equity Capital Markets at William Blair & Co., responsible for the sourcing, structuring and execution of public equity offerings. While at William Blair, Brett has completed more than 400 transactions including IPOs, secondary offerings, public company mergers, private company sales, and private placements. Brett is Chairman of the firm’s Equity Commitment Committee. Brett currently chairs the SIFMA Capital Markets Committee on Policy and Regulation and recently testified before the House Financial Services Subcommittee on Capital Markets, Securities and Investments. Brett served on the IPO Task Force which produced the recommendations that became the basis for the JOBS Act which streamlines the IPO process for Emerging Growth Companies. Brett is a frequent speaker, panelist and media source on Capital Markets topics.
Brett joined William Blair in 1997. Prior to joining William Blair, Brett worked in the Investment Banking Division at Goldman Sachs and for KPMG. While at KPMG, Brett spent three years working on privatization transactions in the former Soviet Union.
Brett has an A.B. from Princeton University, cum laude, and an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School, with honors. Brett lives in Lake Forest, Illinois with his wife and five children.
