Ian Thomson is a Partner at One Bridge Partners—an executive recruitment consulting firm. He has successfully bridged the cultural gap between domestic and international territories in his placement of executives around the globe, including, the United States, United Kingdom, and China. His projects have included uncovering and hiring top executives in content distribution, content development, business leaders (Chief Digital Officers, Chief Product Officers, Chief Financial Officers), functional roles (finance/accounting, human resources, operations), and digital editorial strategy, and advertising sales for venture-backed, private equity-backed, and public companies of various sizes.

Ian has personal experience working in digital media and entertainment recruiting, digital media ad sales, digital media operations, social media, and entrepreneurial tech environments. Previously, he led the Media & Entertainment Practice at Calibre One, a global executive search firm focused on technology, and worked in the Global Media & Entertainment Practice for executive search at DHR International. Prior, he was with the Digital Ad Sales team at AT&T AdWorks, Social Chorus as a Social Media Analyst, and in the Advertising Operations department of Jumpstart Automotive Media—a Hearst-owned digital media network focused on the automotive vertical. Upon graduation from university, Ian was selected for a year-long teaching fellowship with Princeton in Asia where he taught English to middle- and high-school-aged students in a rural fishing village in the 2004 Tsunami region of Southern Thailand.

A San Francisco native, Ian was educated both in Silicon Valley and the East Coast. He graduated from Deerfield Academy and Princeton University, where he majored in History and received a Certificate in African-American Studies. At Princeton, Ian was a member of the NCAA Division I Track & Field team and was named an All-Ivy Athlete having run the 400-meter, 400-meter hurdles, and 4 x 400-meter relay; he traveled to China to represent the University and participate in the sport. Ian loves traveling, to discover new cultures and meet new people; and, he likes music, movies, TV, current events (NPR-KCRW), reading, and craft making.
