Pilar Castro-Kiltz ‘10 is an artist and an entrepreneur. She has been working at the intersection of the arts and business since graduating with a degree in Musicology and certificates in Theater and in Dance. While earning her MFA at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Pilar founded Ensemble Dance, a dance-theater company creating original interdisciplinary works for performance. While running the company as its Executive Artistic Director, she worked in New York City as a freelance choreographer, performer, and director. Her work has been seen at Radio City Music Hall, Off-Off Broadway stages, competitively curated festivals, and on film. In 2013 Pilar started the Princeton Arts Alumni to create a network and resources for alumni in and for the arts: across disciplines, geographies, and decades. Observing a need for flexible branding, marketing, and strategic services for artists, she founded More Canvas Consulting in 2014. Earning her MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 2019, she continues to operate and expand both the Princeton Arts Alumni and More Canvas Consulting. In addition to her work as a strategist, Pilar is writing a new play with music, and producing a ballet that addresses the impact of climate change on indigenous peoples in the polar North.
