Tom is a partner in McKinsey’s Philadelphia office and member of the firm’s Innovation and Chemicals and Agriculture Practices. He helps companies large and small deliver technology-led growth and innovation, advising on R&D execution and new business building.

He advises clients globally on industrial biotech topics ranging from gene editing to large scale fermentation for diverse applications including alternative proteins, specialty chemicals, and bio-based agriculture inputs.

In the area of alternative proteins he has worked across format types (plant-based, cultivated meat, etc.) and food categories and at different levels of the value chain with startups, incumbents, and investors on topics ranging from R&D strategy to go-to-market.
