Princeton University cordially invites you to come back to campus October 3-5, 2019 for the Thrive Conference, empowering and celebrating Princeton's black alumni. The fourth conference to engage and connect Princeton’s black alumni will build on the successes of the previous conferences and will celebrate the impact black alumni have had on the University and their communities.
We encourage all startups with a Princeton black alum/student/faculty/postdoc founder or in the C-Suite to apply to the Thrive Startup Showcase, held on Thursday, October 3 during the Thrive conference.
The Startup Showcase will highlight six companies ranging from commercial ventures to social impact organizations, spanning the entire funding spectrum (self-funded, angel-funded, and venture-funded). Although this is a showcase and not a funding pitch, cash prizes will be awarded to both the judge’s choice and the audience’s choice.
Selection criteria include: quality of management team, quality of presentation, clarity of business value proposition, market size and share, current and projected traction, and the long-term strategy.
Applications will be accepted until Sunday, September 8 at 11:59pm ET. Companies selected to present at the showcase will be notified by Tuesday, September 10.
Please contact Don Seitz ’79, Assistant Director, Alumni Engagement, Princeton Entrepreneurship Council, at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions. (A Google account is required to submit an online application - if this an issue, please contact Don Seitz to make alternate arrangements.)
